Services
Consultation
Before working together, each client is offered one free 30-minute phone consultation. The purpose of this time is to review the family's concerns, discuss developmental and medical history as well as the child's current communication skills, and review policies. This is the family's first opportunity to ask questions and get to know me better. Through this conversation, we can determine if we will be a good fit for each other before working together.
Evaluations
Evaluations are a necessary first step in the creation of a therapeutic plan. We conduct a formal evaluation of every child before beginning therapy in order to assess specific areas of concern, and to determine appropriate targets for treatment. These evaluations are comprised of parent interviews, medical and developmental history, informal assessments and clinical observations, and standardized testing. Evaluations can range from 1-3 hours depending on the child and the area(s) of concern. Written reports including the evaluation results with interpretation, treatment recommendations, and potential therapy goals will be provided to families within two weeks of the evaluation date.
Individual Therapy
Treatment sessions are 30-45 minutes long, depending on the client's needs and attention span. We always take time to discuss the session and carryover activities with families and/or send families a detailed note (for childcare sessions).

The frequency and duration of services are typically 1-2 times per week, but can vary based on the child's needs.

When possible and appropriate, families are encouraged to participate in sessions, however this is not a requirement. In some cases, children more actively participate without their families present. When participation is not appropriate or possible, I will connect with the family after the session.
Screenings
Early identification and intervention is critical to a child's success in therapy. We conduct screenings about 15-minutes in length to determine whether a more in-depth evaluation is appropriate. A brief written report and recommended next steps or supports will be provided within one week of the screening date.
